Coinbase is a bitcoin wallet, and application website. You can go to www.coinbase.com  website and create your own account. From that account, you can establish an online link to your bank account. Some banks do not allow a direct link to bitcoin, so they have another method. That method transfers a small amount of cents to the bank using routing number and account number. You need to transfer two small amounts. This may take several days.  If it works, then coinbase, transfers back the two small deposits.  Now you can use coinbase to buy/sell bitcoins at current market values.
